Alumina
The main clinical feature of the type of Alumina is a dryness of mucous membranes, evidence as constant thirst, constipation, and the sensation of a splinter being stuck in their throat.
People of this type are timid and lean, with undeveloped muscles, dry skin and brittle, deformed nails, marked with white spots. A highly characteristic finding is the sensation of a cobweb or a dried egg-white covering their face. Disturbance of the sense of proprioception causes them to loose balance when walking with closed eyes.
They strongly dislike potatoes, and instead are drawn towards all kinds of uneatable substances like coal, glue, coffee grains, dry tea and cloves. Their complaints are aggravated by cold weather, a humid winter moon phase changes.
Alumina is effective in the treatment of all diseases of the mucous membranes, including the gastrointestinal system.
