Calcarea Carbonica
Calcarea Carbonica is one of the most commonly encountered types in the homeopathic practice, both among children and adults.
Calcarea Carbonica children are flabby and plump, with hanging round bellies, big heads and pale faces. They have massive features, puffey upper lip and notched teeth, but some may have fair skin, long hair and silky eyelashes. They tend to sweat much, particularly at those parts of the body which are covered by hair, developing rashes and dermatitis.
Often they suffer from cervical and axillar lymphadenopathy and chronic diseases of the ear. They grow slowly and start walking and talking late. The adults of the Calcarea Carbonica type present a somewhat lazy disposition and a tendency towards early weight gain. The women are sensitive and gentle, often complaining of weakness, palpitations and headaches; the men have poorly developed muscles and are inclined to seek peace and rest.
These people are full of unexplained fears, especially – in all matters of health. Thinking and concentration produce fatigue and sweating. Bread, cakes and eggs are their favourite food, and after meals they suffer from flushing of the face and the tip of the nose.
Calcarea Carbonica is effective in the treatment of various diseases of practically all body organs.
