Silicea
The main complaints of people of the type of Silicea are weakness, fatigue and sensitivity to cold.
Most often these are women with dry, grayish skin and gentle, compliant character, who display a marked tendency towards depression, but can become irritable, willful and hard.
Clinical findings characteristic of these people include puffiness of the upper lip, chronic tonsillar inflammation and friability of nails and teeth. Their head, soles and hands sweat, profoundly, producing a strong foul smell and the lymph nodes are painful and enlarged.
Cold weather and darkness cause an exacerbation of their suffering.
Silicea is the chief remedy in the treatment of chronic diseases of the connective tissue, inflammation of lymph nodes and osteomyelitis with sequestration and formation of fistulas.
