Stannum
People of the type of Stannum resemble patients with long standing tuberculosis – they suffer from chronic, profound weakness, palpitations, productive cough and exhausting nocturnal sweats.
Any physical activity, even talking, produces severe fatigue; they never sit down, but fall on the chair, as if unable to support themselves. This weakness of muscles and ligaments is responsible, among other things, for the common complaint of rectal and uteral prolapse found in them.
The sputum of people of this type has a peculiar sweet taste, and their pain resembles that of Platina – slowly increasing and then slowly subsiding over time. Any movement or exertion produces an exacerbation of their complaints; strong pressure over painful organs brings relief.
Stannum is used in the treatment of chronic pulmonary diseases and any disorders manifesting pain characteristic of this type.
