Provings (English or Deutsch)
Provings are the foundation of homeopathy. Healthy volunteers take a substance in homeopathic potency and record every change they notice: dreams, moods, bodily sensations, symptoms. From these records we assemble the picture of the remedy that later serves in practice.
Since its founding, the Slovak Academy of Classical Homeopathy has conducted around ninety provings, most of them of remedies that had no picture before or only a fragmentary one. This page collects them for colleagues abroad. Each entry gives the source substance, the course of the proving and a summary of mental, general and physical symptoms, together with clinical cases where they confirm or refine the picture. The provings are published in English; where a full text is available only in Slovak, we provide an English summary.
